Generating a first diagram from a written requirement is Etione's starting point. Its AI assistance extends past that into finding existing work and checking it for correctness.
Semantic search
Etione's semantic search finds shapes and diagrams by meaning rather than by matching keywords — so searching for a concept can surface a diagram that describes it differently than the words you searched for.
Diagram validation with suggested fixes
Etione's AI checks a diagram against notation-specific semantic rules — ArchiMate layer restrictions, UML relationship and cardinality rules, and similar constraints for other notations — and returns findings graded by severity. Where possible, each finding comes with a specific suggested fix, such as adding a missing shape or connector, modifying an existing one, or correcting a label, rather than only flagging that something is wrong.
Exporting and re-importing
Diagrams export to PNG, SVG, and PDF for sharing, and to structured JSON or XML for round-tripping — a diagram exported to JSON or XML can be re-imported later with its shapes, connectors, and hierarchy preserved, rather than exporting only working as a one-way trip to a flat image.
