Getting started with Etione

Getting started with Etione

How to create an Etione account and generate your first architecture diagram from a written requirement.

This guide walks through creating an account and generating your first diagram in Etione.

1. Create your account

From etione.archiet.ai, select Sign in or Get started. You'll sign in with Google or create a new account, then set up your organization if you don't already have one. Iyene, Etione, and Ifiok share one organization and sign-in — if your team already has an Archiet account, sign in with it rather than creating a second one.

2. Choose a notation

Decide which diagram notation fits what you're modeling. Etione covers a wide set, including:

  • ArchiMate — for enterprise architecture: business, application, technology, physical, strategy, motivation, and implementation & migration layers.
  • C4 — for software architecture: context, containers, components, and code.
  • BPMN — for business process modeling: the steps, decisions, and handoffs in a process.
  • UML — for software design.
  • Network, entity-relationship, org chart, and mind map diagrams, plus Gantt and timeline charts for project data.

3. Describe your requirement

Provide the written requirement or description you want modeled. The more specific the input, the more accurate the generated diagram — naming the actual systems, actors, and steps involved produces a better result than a high-level summary.

4. Generate and review

Etione generates a diagram from the requirement. Review it against what you intended, and refine the input if something is missing or wrong — the diagram is a direct reflection of what was described, so correcting the description is usually the fastest way to correct the diagram.

Choosing a plan

Etione's plans are described on the pricing page, including a no-cost tier for getting started.
