Answers to the questions we hear most often about Etione. If yours isn't here, contact us.
What is Etione?
Etione is Archiet's AI-assisted architecture diagramming product. It generates diagrams directly from written requirements, rather than requiring the diagram to be drawn by hand.
What diagram notations does Etione support?
The full set of ArchiMate layers, UML, BPMN, C4 model diagrams, network diagrams, entity-relationship diagrams, org charts, mind maps, and Gantt and timeline charts for project data.
Does Etione support real-time collaborative editing?
No, not today. Etione is a single-editor diagramming and generation tool; real-time multi-user co-editing is not part of the current product.
Can I search for a diagram by concept instead of by name?
Yes. Etione's semantic search finds shapes and diagrams by meaning, so a search can surface relevant work even when it doesn't share the exact words you searched for.
Does Etione check diagrams for correctness?
Yes. Its AI validates a diagram against notation-specific rules and returns findings graded by severity, often with a specific suggested fix. See AI Features in Etione.
Can I export a diagram and bring it back in later?
Yes. Diagrams export to PNG, SVG, and PDF for sharing, and to structured JSON or XML, which can be re-imported later with shapes, connectors, and hierarchy preserved.
What is architecture-as-code?
Architecture-as-code means describing your architecture in structured written form rather than drawing it directly, so the diagram can be generated and regenerated from that description. See Architecture as Code in Etione for the detail.
Do Iyene, Etione, and Ifiok share an account?
Yes. Iyene, Etione, and Ifiok are all part of Archiet and share the same organization and sign-in, so a team can use one account across all three products.
What does Etione cost?
Current plans and pricing are listed on the pricing page, including an entry-level tier for getting started.
