What is Etione?
Etione is Archiet's AI-assisted architecture diagramming product — it generates ArchiMate, UML, BPMN, C4, and other diagrams directly from written requirements.
Etione is Archiet's AI-assisted architecture and diagramming product. It generates diagrams from written, natural-language descriptions — rather than requiring you to build them shape by shape in a general-purpose drawing tool.
What Etione is for
Architecture diagrams are usually either accurate or up to date, rarely both, because keeping a hand-drawn diagram in sync with a written specification is manual work that gets skipped under deadline pressure. Etione starts from the specification itself, so the diagram it produces reflects what was actually written down.
Core concepts
Architecture-as-code — describing your architecture in a structured, written form rather than drawing it directly, so the diagram is generated from — and stays traceable to — that description. See Architecture as Code in Etione for how this works.
Diagram notations — Etione covers a wide notation set: the full set of ArchiMate layers (Business, Application, Technology, Physical, Strategy, Motivation, and Implementation & Migration), UML, BPMN, C4 model diagrams, network diagrams, entity-relationship diagrams, org charts, and mind maps — plus Gantt and timeline charts for project data.
AI assistance — beyond generating a first diagram, Etione's AI can find shapes and diagrams by meaning through semantic search, and check a diagram against notation-specific rules with suggested fixes. See AI Features in Etione.
