Getting started with Iyene

Getting started with Iyene

How to create an Iyene account, set up your organization, and add your first applications to your portfolio inventory.

This guide walks through the first steps of using Iyene, from creating an account to recording your first applications.

1. Create your account

From iyene.archiet.ai, select Get started. You'll sign in with Google or create a new account, then set up your organization — the workspace your team's application inventory lives in. If your organization already has an Archiet account (for example because a colleague set up Etione or Ifiok first), sign in with the same credentials rather than creating a second one; Iyene, Etione, and Ifiok share one organization and sign-in.

2. Set up your organization

The first time you sign in, you'll be asked a short set of questions about your organization. This takes a few minutes and determines the workspace every application and capability you add from here on belongs to.

3. Add your first applications

Once your organization is set up, add the applications you want to track. For each one, the useful starting fields are:

  • Name — what the application is called internally.
  • Owner — who is accountable for it.
  • Status — whether it's active, being retired, or planned.

You don't need to add your entire estate on day one. Most teams start with the applications involved in a specific initiative or business area and expand the inventory from there.

Already have this in a spreadsheet? Iyene can bulk-import applications, vendors, and business capabilities directly from an Excel or CSV file, with a downloadable per-type import template, per-row validation, and an import history log — faster than entering everything one at a time.

4. Map applications to capabilities

Once you have applications recorded, the next step is mapping them to the business capabilities they support — see Capability Mapping in Iyene for how that works and why it's the step that turns a list of software into a picture of coverage.

Choosing a plan

Iyene's plans are described on the pricing page, including a no-cost tier for getting started. Review current plans and limits there before inviting your wider team.
